COOPIHAN 2017: ICOPED celebrates COOP MONTH 2017

The Institute of Cooperatives and Bio-Enterprise Development (ICOPED) launches COOPihan 2017, a celebration of the Philippine Cooperative Month following the theme, “Cooperatives: Empowering the Poor and the Vulnerable Towards Job Creation and Poverty Eradication.” The activity aims to promote the cooperative spirit in the UPLB community.

The month-long activity commences with the Cooperative Awareness Seminar for the Youth on October 9 followed by a free training on Internal Control for Los Baños Cooperatives on October 12-13. Students can join the poster making contest wherein the entries shall be displayed at the sCOOP: A Poster Exhibit which shall run from October 16-20 at the ICOPED lobby. They may also join the COOPligsahan: A Quiz Contest on Cooperatives to be held on October 23 at the ICOPED Auditorium.

Meanwhile, all interested individuals are invited to join the ICOPED Logo Design Contest. The mechanics for this competition are posted in the ICOPED website and in the ICOPED Facebook page.
