Technical Services to Students

ICOPED has a pool of experts and practitioners who have adequate educational background and professional experiences in the field of cooperatives. Both faculty and researchers have been engaged in several research and extension activities that deal with the contemporary and emerging issues and concerns related to cooperatives. Staff development opportunities in the country and abroad have also equipped them with practical knowledge and skills in understanding the local and international cooperative movement.

As part of our commitment to increase awareness and hone the understanding of the youth about cooperativism, we are glad and more than willing to provide students who are interested to know more about cooperatives and/or to conduct studies related to cooperatives with technical advisory and assistance, activity facilitation support, and knowledge and information sharing services.

Event Organizing and Participation

Any of our faculty may help you in the following:

• Identifying researchable areas in cooperatives
• Selecting cooperative(s) as case study
• Available resource materials and data on cooperatives
• Technical review of research papers
• Publication of research papers
• Student mentoring 

ICOPED is open to collaborate with student organizations or groups that plan to organize an activity (e.g., seminar, conference, community project, etc.) that will have an impact on the cooperative movement.

Faculty and staff of ICOPED may also serve as resource person(s) to the event or may assist you in finding suitable speakers that can be potentially invited.

Opportunities for Students

Our Institute provides a platform where students can learn about cooperatives.
All learning activities of ICOPED, such as seminars, conferences, trainings, and interactive learning sessions are open to all students. Attendance however must be arranged prior to the activity schedule.
Occasionally, ICOPED also arranges creative learning contests such as photo contest, creative writing contest, and infographic making contest for students and the general public.
