The Institute of Cooperatives and Bio-Enterprise Development (ICOPED) in partnership with the Federation of People’s Sustainable Development Cooperative (FPSDC) launched its Youth Leadership and Enterprise Development Program on 16 March 2024. The opening program was held virtually via Zoom. It was attended by the College of Economics and Management (CEM) dean and faculty mentors, ICOPED director, mentors, staff, FPSDC officials, and delegates. The event also garnered participation from members and employees of various cooperatives and enterprises across the Philippines.
Aligned with FPSDC’s Youth Leading in Enterprise and Agricultural Development Program, ICOPED's Youth Leadership and Enterprise Development Program aims to equip the youth participants to be agile, innovative, and resilient entrepreneurs and to mentor them to develop innovative products for their enterprises. Fifteen youth participants aged 19 to 34 will benefit from the training course. This endeavor is under ICOPED’s Leadership and Enterprise Development (I-LED) Program. The program, to be conducted from March to May 2024, will cover a wide range of topics including entrepreneurship, leadership, trends in agri-based products, product ideation, value chain, enterprise planning, assessment and evaluation, and pitching the plan. Participants will also gain practical experience through mentoring and visits to different agricultural enterprises. (YMLDizon)
